History of the farm

The sunny Niedermunt farm goes way back. According to the book “Farm names in the Eisack valley” by Josef Tarneller and Edmund Dellago, the farm was first mentioned in 1350 as “the one in the Munt”, then again in 1480 as “N. Munt”, and known as “Nieder Munt” since 1716. The farm has been successfully passed down through generations.

“Where do my breakfast eggs come from?”, “How fast is the hay mower?” and “where do the kittens sleep at night?” – Your farm hosts Andi and Evelyn have an open ear to all your kids’ questions and are always ready to show you around and explain life on the farm.

Of course our animals on the Niedermunt farm love getting spoiled by our guests as well.

There’s our cats Nero and Simbo and our two horses Candor and Pia who love getting petted and so do all our hens and even the cows and cute calves on the meadow.
